The American Civil Liberties Union has several terrific resources on their website.
The first is Get Busy, Get Equal, a collection of resources for LGBT individuals to create change.
The second is the Transgender section of the ACLU’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Project, a collection of non-discrimination resources, including a very handy FAQ on Transgender People and the Law.
